About the role

Brightmont Academy is seeking a Part‑Time English & Social Studies Teacher to provide one‑to‑one instruction for students in grades 1–12. The position focuses exclusively on direct student interaction with no lesson planning, parent conferences, or grading responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in your subject area (English, Social Studies, History, Government, Economics, or related).
• Patience and empathy to support diverse learning styles.
• A genuine passion for teaching and sharing your subject.
• Proficiency with G‑Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS).
• Ability to provide fingerprints (AZ, WA only) and pass a federal background check.

Bonus Qualifications

• Orton‑Gillingham training.
• Teaching certification (nice to have, not required).
• Advanced degree in a specific subject area of expertise.
• Previous one‑to‑one teaching experience.

Pay

$22‑23 per hour
