About the role
We are seeking a Center Medical Specialist to perform physical examinations, medical history assessments, and evaluate donor suitability at plasma donation centers.
Responsibilities
- Perform physical examinations and medical history assessments
- Evaluate donor suitability for plasma donation
- Build rapport with donors and ensure confidentiality
- Provide health education to donors
- Manage adverse events during the donation process
- Assist in employee training and vaccination programs
Requirements
- Certified or licensed as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Vocational Nurse, Paramedic, or EMT
- Current CPR certification
- Physical stamina for standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Good vision and hearing acuity
- Strong communication skills
Work environment
- Exposure to biological fluids and infectious organisms
- Work in extreme cold environments
- Use of personal protective equipment required
