EMT, Paramedic, or LPN (Part-Time)

About the role

Medcor is looking to hire a part-time EMT, Paramedic, or LPN to be an Onsite Health Technician in our employer-based, occupational health clinic in Woodbridge, NJ. The hours for this position are Saturday and Sunday, 7:00pm–7:00am.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with medical and operational leadership at Medcor, local medical providers, client staff, and key contacts within the client’s corporate structure
• Provide patient care, ongoing workers’ compensation case management, Return to Work (RTW) program facilitation, and treatment plan monitoring
• Work closely with outside medical providers
• Participate in daily operations at Medcor’s on-site clinic
• Provide superior customer service to Medcor’s clients and employees
• Assess and treat workplace injuries and illnesses according to Medcor’s Evidence Based Medicine protocols (Medcor Care Protocols)
• Build and maintain internal team relationships
• Support onsite employee health and wellness efforts
• Conduct pre-employment and post-offer screenings
• Document care using state-of-the-art EMR and other tools
• Perform Physical Assessment Testing (PATs)
• Manage case files and medical charting
• Maintain OSHA record-keeping

Requirements

• Valid licensure for the position (EMT, Paramedic, or LPN)
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong computer and technology skills (cell phones, texting, fax machines, EMR software)
• Ability to lift a 50 lb emergency response bag
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Positive and outgoing personality

Preferred Qualifications

• Comfort working in a worksite clinic environment
• Relevant occupational health experience
• Experience in emergency medicine or critical care
