Part-Time EMT

About the role

Seeking an EMT Basic, Advanced EMT, or Paramedic to serve as a Center Medical Specialist at a plasma donation center. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute to healthcare through plasma donation, with a focus on safety, education, and donor care.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical exams and review medical histories to assess donor suitability
• Build rapport with donors to ensure satisfaction and confidentiality
• Educate donors on health and test results, manage injuries and adverse events
• Evaluate illness history and medication use for continued suitability
• Assist in staff training and administer employee hepatitis vaccinations

Qualifications

• Certified/licensed as RN, LPN, Vocation Nurse, Paramedic, or EMT per state requirements
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and fine motor movements
• Good communication skills, keen hearing, and visual perception
• Work independently, handle variable demands, and maintain safety in biological and cold environments
