About the role

The Educator position at Right At School is responsible for delivering a dynamic daily curriculum that engages children in academic and social character-building activities. This role requires excellent communication skills, positive guidance, and effective classroom management.

Responsibilities

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities, and document attendance, incidents, and observations
• Deliver our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building that expands school day learning
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being, and attention of all children
• Support homework completion, lead fun fitness activities, and guide children at play
• Meet regularly with the Program Manager to discuss professional progress and team accountability

Requirements

• Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills
• Works well in a team environment
• At least 2 years of experience working with children 5-13 years of age in a formal childcare setting
• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift 40 lbs
• Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living
• Ability to meet state-specific requirements; CPR, Mandated Reporter training, TB test, etc.

Qualifications

• College credits in early childhood education, child development, elementary education or a related field preferred

Skills

• Excellent communication skills with varied audiences including children, parents, staff, and school personnel

Pay

$17.00 - $20.00 per hour (based on education and experience)

Schedule

Monday-Friday After School: 3:15 PM - 6:00 PM
