Part Time Educator - Brooklyn

Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended day programs, focusing on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment to support the success of all students. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind by creating safe, engaging experiences for children.

About the role

• Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
• Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare and lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
• Leading by Example: Maintain a safe and nurturing environment by modeling positive guidance and effective classroom management.
• Prioritize Safety and Joy: Monitor the environment, address potential hazards, follow all safety protocols, and document attendance, incidents, and observations.
• Communication: Effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age (3-5 years preferred).
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
• Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.
• Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Works well in a team environment.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age.
• Proof of High School diploma/GED.
• Ability to meet New York State requirements, including:
• First Aid and CPR (in-person certification).
• Cleared tuberculosis test.
• Proof of MMR vaccination.

Pay

$17.00–$20.00 per hour, based on education and experience.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM–6:00 PM.
