Right At School provides local school districts with before- and after-school extended-day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment dedicated to the success of all students. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind.

About the role

  • Daily program meetings: review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
  • Organize and facilitate daily activities: prepare curriculum that aligns with program objectives and lead structured fitness, activities, and lessons that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
  • Lead by example: maintain a safe and nurturing environment, model positive guidance, and use effective classroom management.
  • Prioritize safety and joy: monitor the environment, address potential hazards, follow all safety protocols, and document attendance, incidents, and observations.
  • Communication: engage effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

  • Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • At least one year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
  • Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.

Qualifications

  • Ability to meet New Jersey state-specific requirements.
  • In-person First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Cleared tuberculosis test.
  • Proof of MMR vaccination.
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Proof of High School diploma or GED.

Pay

$16.00–$18.00 per hour, based on education and experience.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–8:10 am and 2:40 pm–6:30 pm.
