Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment dedicated to the success of all students. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind.

About the role

You will have a "home base" location but may be asked to work at different schools within the district. This role drives the mission by leading daily program meetings, organizing and facilitating activities, and maintaining a safe, nurturing environment where children can explore and grow.

Responsibilities

  • Review daily goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and ensure team accountability during program meetings.
  • Prepare and align activities and curriculum with program objectives.
  • Organize and lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
  • Maintain a safe and nurturing environment by modeling positive guidance and effective classroom management.
  • Monitor the environment, address potential hazards, and follow all safety protocols, including documenting attendance, incidents, and observations.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
  • Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.
  • Meet Ohio state-specific requirements, including:
    • First Aid and CPR certification (in-person).
    • Cleared tuberculosis test.
    • Proof of MMR vaccination.
    • 18+ years of age.
    • Proof of High School diploma or GED.

Skills

  • Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.

Pay

$15.00–$18.00 per hour, based on education and experience.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, split shift:

  • Morning shift: 07:00 AM–08:30 AM.
  • Afternoon shift: 03:20 PM–06:00 PM.

This role may be scheduled for up to 20.83 hours per week.
