Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment dedicated to the success of all students. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind.
About the role
You will have a "home base" location but may be asked to work at different schools within the district. Program hours are Monday-Friday, 3:00pm to 6:00pm.
Responsibilities
- Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
- Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare and lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
- Lead by Example: Maintain a safe and nurturing environment by modeling positive guidance and effective classroom management, ensuring children enjoy themselves while meeting program goals.
- Prioritize Safety and Joy: Monitor the environment, address potential hazards, and follow all safety protocols, including documenting attendance, incidents, and other observations.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
- Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.
Qualifications
- 18+ years of age.
- Proof of High School diploma/GED.
- Ability to meet Ohio state-specific requirements, including:
- First Aid and CPR certification (in-person).
- Cleared tuberculosis test.
- Proof of MMR vaccination.
- Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Works well in a team environment.
Pay
$15.00-$18.00 per hour, based on education and experience.
