Right At School provides local school districts with before- and after-school extended-day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment dedicated to the success of all students. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind.
About the role
- Daily program meetings: review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
- Organize and facilitate daily activities: prepare and lead structured fitness, activities, and curriculum that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
- Lead by example: maintain a safe and nurturing environment, model positive guidance, and ensure effective classroom management.
- Prioritize safety and joy: monitor the environment, address potential hazards, follow all safety protocols, and document attendance, incidents, and observations.
- Communication: effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
Requirements
- Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
- Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.
- Meet Virginia state-specific requirements, including:
- First Aid and CPR (in-person certification).
- Cleared tuberculosis test.
- Proof of MMR vaccination.
- 18+ years of age.
- Proof of High School diploma/GED.
Pay
$16.00–$18.00 per hour, based on education and experience.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–9:00 AM and 3:30 PM–6:00 PM.
