Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended day programs focusing on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind by building a team of mission-driven individuals passionate about fostering a love of learning and creating safe, engaging experiences for children.

About the role

We aim to bring exceptional, affordable programs to as many students, families, and schools as possible while providing a safe environment for children to explore and grow. Our ideal candidate will have outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills, works well in a team environment, has at least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age, and is able to lift 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
• Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring they align with the program’s objectives. Lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
• Maintain a Safe and Nurturing Environment: Ensure children are enjoying themselves while meeting program goals by modeling positive guidance and effective classroom management.
• Monitor the Environment: Address potential hazards, follow all safety protocols, document attendance, incidents, and other observations.
• Effective Communication: Communicate with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

• California Requirements: Meet state-specific requirements, pass a tuberculosis test and health screening, and be authorized to work in the US.
• Age Requirement: Be at least 18 years old.
• Education: Proof of High School diploma/GED required.
• Background Check: LiveScan fingerprint background check cleared.

Pay

$19 - $22/hour (based on education and experience)

Schedule

Must be available Monday - Friday, 1:55pm - 6pm. Early start every Wednesday. Schedule varies based on school location.
