Part Time Educator - South Pasadena School District

Pay

$19-$21/hour (dependent on education & experience)

Schedule

Mo-Thu 2:00pm-6:00pm, Friday 12:45pm-6:00pm

Requirements

• Works well in a team environment
• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade
• Completion of a minimum of six (6) units in Early Childhood Education or Child Development preferred
• Current CPR and First Aid certificate
• Ability to lift 25lbs
• Meet state-specific requirements: LIVE Scan fingerprint, Mandated Reporter training, Health Certificate with Negative TB Test (from a physician)

• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety and well-being and attention of all children
• Meet regularly with the Program Manager regarding professional progress and team accountability

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities
• Document attendance, incidents, and other observation
• Deliver dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building
• Lead fun fitness activities
• Guide children at play
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management
• Support homework completion
