About the role

Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended day programs focusing on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind by building a team of mission-driven individuals passionate about fostering a love of learning and creating safe, engaging experiences for children.

Responsibilities

• Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
• Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
• Lead by Example: Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring children enjoy themselves while meeting program goals.
• Monitor Environment: Address potential hazards, follow safety protocols, document attendance, incidents, and observations.
• Effective Communication: Communicate with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

• Prioritize Safety and Joy: Ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for children.
• Communicate Effectively: Work with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
• Teamwork: Work well in a team environment.
• Experience: At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
• Lifting Capacity: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Flexibility: Support additional local programs as needed.

Qualifications

• Customer Service and Relationship-Building Skills: Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Education and Training: Possess a High School Diploma/GED plus 30 college credits in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field OR a High School Diploma/GED with 600 or more hours of secondary training OR a High School Diploma/GED with 15 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field plus 1 year of experience OR a High School Diploma/GED plus 2 years of experience OR a High School Diploma/GED with 15 credit hours in early childhood
