About the role
Educator Right At School provides before and after school extended day programs focusing on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind by building a team of mission-driven individuals passionate about fostering a love of learning and creating safe, engaging experiences for children.
Responsibilities
- Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
- Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
- Lead by Example: Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring children enjoy themselves while meeting program goals.
- Monitor Environment: Address potential hazards, follow safety protocols, document attendance, incidents, and observations.
- Effective Communication: Communicate with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
Requirements
- Prioritize Safety and Joy: Ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for children.
- Communicate Effectively: Work with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
- Teamwork: Work well in a team environment.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
- Lifting Capacity: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Qualifications
- Customer Service and Relationship-Building Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Education and Experience: High School Diploma/GED plus 30 college credits in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field; or 15 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field plus 1 year of experience; or HS Diploma/GED, 2 years of experience; or HS Diploma/GED, 600 or more hours of secondary training; or HS Diploma/GED, CDA preferred.
- State Requirements: Ability to meet state-specific requirements.
- Training: First Aid and CPR certification in person.
- Health Screenings: Clear tuberculosis test.
- Age Requirement: 18 years of age or older.

Pay
$15.00-$18.00 per hour (based on education and experience)
Schedule
Monday-Friday; 6:45 AM - 8:55 AM and 3:30 PM - 6:00 PM
