Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment to support the success of all students. Responsibilities
- Participate in daily program meetings to review goals, share ideas, discuss professional progress, and encourage team collaboration and accountability.
- Organize and facilitate daily activities and curriculum aligned with program objectives, ensuring they are both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
- Lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum while modeling positive guidance and effective classroom management.
- Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, monitoring for potential hazards and following all safety protocols, including documenting attendance, incidents, and observations.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
- Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.
- Ability to meet Pennsylvania state-specific requirements, including:
- First Aid and CPR certification (in-person).
- Cleared tuberculosis test.
- 18+ years of age.
- One of the following educational or experience combinations:
- HS Diploma / GED + 30 college credits in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field.
- HS Diploma / GED with 600 or more hours of secondary training.
- HS Diploma / GED, 15 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field + 1 year of experience.
- HS Diploma / GED + 2 years of experience.
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preferred.
- Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
Pay
$15.00–$18.00 per hour, based on education and experience.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 6:45 AM to 8:55 AM and 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM.
