About the role
Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended-day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment dedicated to the success of all students. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind by creating safe, engaging experiences for children.
Pay
Educator Pay Rate: $21 - $23 per hour (based on education and experience).
Schedule
Program Hours: Monday - Friday, 11am - 6pm. Hours will vary depending on school location.
Responsibilities
- Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
- Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring they align with the program’s objectives. Lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
- Leading by Example: Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, modeling positive guidance and effective classroom management to ensure children enjoy themselves while meeting program goals.
- Prioritize Safety and Joy: Monitor the environment, address potential hazards, and follow all safety protocols, including documenting attendance, incidents, and other observations.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age (preferred).
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
- Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.
- 18+ years of age.
- Proof of High School diploma/GED required.
- Cleared tuberculosis test and health screening.
- Authorized to work in the US.
- LiveScan fingerprint background check cleared.
