Part Time Educator (Fairfield Suisun, CA)

About the role

Educator Right At School provides local school districts before and after school extended day programs with a focus on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment. The mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind.

Responsibilities

• Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
• Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring alignment with program objectives. Lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
• Maintain a Safe and Nurturing Environment: Ensure children are enjoying themselves while meeting program goals through positive guidance and effective classroom management.
• Prioritize Safety and Joy: Monitor the environment, address potential hazards, and follow all safety protocols, including documentation of attendance, incidents, and observations.
• Effective Communication: Communicate with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

• Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Works well in a team environment.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age preferred.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.

California Requirements

• Ability to meet state-specific requirements.
• LIVE Scan fingerprint background check, FA/CPR, Mandated Reporter training, Health Screening Certificate with Negative Tuberculosis Test (from a physician).
• 18+ years of age.
• Proof of High School diploma/GED required.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Pay Rate: $20 - $22/per hour (based on education and experience)
