About the role

Right At School provides local school districts before and after school extended day programs with a focus on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment dedicated to the success of all students. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind by building a team of mission-driven individuals passionate about fostering a love of learning and creating safe, engaging experiences for children.

Responsibilities

• Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
• Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring they align with the program’s objectives. Lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
• Maintain a Safe and Nurturing Environment: Ensure children are enjoying themselves while also meeting program goals by modeling positive guidance and effective classroom management.
• Prioritize Safety and Joy: Monitor the environment, address potential hazards, and follow all safety protocols, including documenting attendance, incidents, and other observations.
• Effective Communication: Communicate with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

• Outstanding Customer Service and Relationship-Building Skills
• Works Well in a Team Environment
• At Least 1 Year of Experience Working with Children Under 13 Years of Age (Preferred)
• Ability to Lift 25 lbs
• Drive to Inspire a Love for Learning and Commitment to Healthy Living
• Flexibility to Support Additional Local Programs as Needed

Qualifications

• Ability to Meet State-Specific Requirements
• LIVE Scan Fingerprint Background Check
• FA/CPR
• Mandated Reporter Training
• Health Screening Certificate with Negative Tuberculosis Test from a Physician
• 18+ Years of Age
• Proof of High School Diploma/GED Required
• Authorized to Work in the U.S.

Pay

$20 - $23 per hour (based on education and experience)

Schedule

Monday - Friday 6:30am-8:45am &/or 1:45pm-6:00pm

Location

Candidates should be open to being placed at any of the schools we partner with in the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District. We cannot guarantee preferred school locations as our openings are based on the needs of our programs. *Please note we also have 2 school locations in the Pleasanton district as well*
