Part Time Educator (Duncanville)

About the role

Right At School provides safe, fun, and meaningful extended day enrichment programs for students in 17 states. This role is part-time, earning $15-$18 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities, and document attendance, incidents, and other observations
• Deliver dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building that expands school day learning
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being, and attention of all children while supporting homework completion, leading fun fitness activities, and guiding children at play
• Communicate effectively with varied audiences including children, parents, staff, and school personnel
• Mentor and guide children in a safe and engaging environment
• Meet regularly with the Program Manager to discuss professional progress and team accountability

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED
• Coursework or training in child development and/or related fields is preferred
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to model professional standards when interacting with students, parents, staff, and the community
• Familiarity with Google technology software or willingness to learn
• Ability to meet state-specific requirements such as FA/CPR, Mandated Reporter, and Cleared TB

• At least 18 years old
