Part Time After-School Educator SUB/On-Call (Duncanville)
Right At School provides local school districts with before and after-school extended day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment dedicated to the success of all students. About the role
Part-Time Sub/Floating After-School Educator role covering site locations within Duncanville and Cedar Hill area after-school programs on an as-needed basis. Must be available Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm–6:00 pm.
Responsibilities
- Participate in daily program meetings to review goals, share ideas, and encourage team collaboration.
- Organize and facilitate structured daily activities and fitness curriculum that are educational and enjoyable for children of all ages.
- Lead by example to maintain a safe, nurturing environment through positive guidance and effective classroom management.
- Prioritize safety by monitoring the environment, addressing hazards, and following all safety protocols, including documenting attendance and incidents.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
Requirements
- 18+ years of age.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age (preferred).
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Ability to meet state-specific requirements, including FA/CPR certification, Mandated Reporter training, and cleared TB test.
- Familiarity with Google technology software or willingness to learn.

- Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.
- Coursework or training in child development and/or related field is a plus.
- Strong communication skills (oral, written, and visual) with adults and children.
- Ability to model professional standards when dealing with students, parents, staff, and community.
Pay
Starting pay of $15/hr and up, based on education and experience.
