Part Time Educator - Chicopee Public Schools

Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment to support the success of all students. Responsibilities

• Participate in daily program meetings to review goals, share ideas, discuss professional progress, and encourage team collaboration and accountability.
• Organize and facilitate daily activities and curriculum aligned with program objectives, ensuring they are both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
• Lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum while modeling positive guidance and effective classroom management.
• Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, monitoring for potential hazards and following all safety protocols, including documenting attendance, incidents, and observations.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
• Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.
• Meet state-specific requirements for Massachusetts:
  • First Aid and CPR (in-person certification).
  • Cleared tuberculosis test.
  • Proof of MMR vaccination.
  • 18+ years of age.
  • One of the following:
    • Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree with 3 months of experience working with school-age children; OR
    • High school diploma or equivalent with 6 months of experience working with school-age children, including 3 months of supervised experience at a school-age child care program; OR
    • Nine months of experience with school-age children, including 3 months of supervised experience at a school-age child care program.

Pay

$16.00–$19.00 per hour (based on education and experience).

Schedule

Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM–8:30 AM and 2:30 PM–5:30 PM.
