About the role

Right At School provides before and after school extended day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind by building a team of mission-driven individuals passionate about fostering a love of learning and creating safe, engaging experiences for children.

Responsibilities

• Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
• Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
• Lead by Example: Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring children enjoy themselves while meeting program goals.
• Monitor Environment: Address potential hazards, follow safety protocols, document attendance, incidents, and observations.
• Effective Communication: Communicate with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

• Prioritize Safety and Joy: Ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for children.
• Communicate Effectively: Work with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
• Teamwork: Work well in a team environment.
• Experience: At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
• Lifting Capacity: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Qualifications

• Customer Service and Relationship-Building Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Education and Experience: At least 15 college credits in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field, or equivalent experience.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Health and Safety: First Aid and CPR certification, tuberculosis test, and ability to meet state-specific requirements.

Pay and Schedule

Educator Pay Rate: $15.00-$18.00 per hour (based on education and experience)

Program Hours: Monday through Friday 7:00-9:00AM and 3:40-6:30PM
