About the role

Educator Right At School provides before and after school extended day programs focusing on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind by building a team of mission-driven individuals passionate about fostering a love of learning and creating safe, engaging experiences for children.

Responsibilities

• Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
• Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
• Lead by Example: Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring children enjoy themselves while meeting program goals.
• Monitor Environment: Address potential hazards, follow safety protocols, document attendance, incidents, and observations.
• Prioritize Safety and Joy: Model positive guidance and effective classroom management.
• Effective Communication: Communicate with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

• Pay Rate: $15.00-$18.00 (based on education and experience)
• Program Hours: Monday through Friday 6:45AM-9:00AM and 3:30PM-6:00PM
• Works well in a team environment
• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age
• Ability to lift 25lbs
• Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed

Qualifications

• Ability to meet state-specific requirements
• Certified First Aid and CPR-in-person
• Cleared tuberculosis test
• Must be 18+
• High School Diploma/GED plus 30 college credits in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field OR High School Diploma/GED with 600 or more hours of secondary training OR High School Diploma/GED with 15 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field plus 1 year of experience OR High School Diploma/GED plus 2 years of experience
