Part Time Educator (Addison School District)

About the role

Right At School is seeking mission-driven educators to join our team. We provide safe, fun, and meaningful extended day enrichment programs for students in Addison School District and across 17 states.

Responsibilities

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities, and document attendance, incidents, and other observations.
• Deliver our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building that expands school day learning in a meaningful way.
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being, and attention of all children while supporting homework completion, leading fun fitness activities, and guiding children at play.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
• Maintain a safe and engaging environment for children.
• Meet regularly with the Program Manager to discuss professional progress and team accountability.

Requirements

• Educator: $16-19/hour (dependent on education and experience).
• Open to working at any of the schools we partner with in Addison School District.
• Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:45- 8:30 am and 3:00 - 6:00 pm* (hours may vary per individual school).
• Start date in mid-July to allow time to complete required online trainings.
• A live, in person training will be conducted in early August.
• The full schedule starts at the beginning of the district's school year.

Qualifications

• Works well in a team environment.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Commitment to healthy living.
• Meets state-specific requirements: CPR, Mandated Reporter training, TB test, etc.
