About the role

Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended-day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment dedicated to the success of all students. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind by building a team of mission-driven individuals passionate about fostering a love of learning and creating safe, engaging experiences for children.

Responsibilities

• Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
• Organize and facilitate daily activities: Prepare and lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages, aligning with program objectives.
• Lead by example: Maintain a safe and nurturing environment by modeling positive guidance and effective classroom management to ensure children enjoy themselves while meeting program goals.
• Prioritize safety and joy: Monitor the environment, address potential hazards, follow all safety protocols, and document attendance, incidents, and observations.
• Communication: Effectively communicate with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
• Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.
• Meet New Jersey state-specific requirements, including:
  • First Aid and CPR (in-person certification).
  • Cleared tuberculosis test.
  • Proof of MMR vaccination.
  • 18+ years of age.
  • Proof of High School diploma or GED.

Skills

Pay

$16.00–$18.00 per hour (based on education and experience).

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM and 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM.
