Part-time Early Childhood Classroom Lead Educator – ParentChild+ Program

Part-time position supporting the Nassau BOCES ParentChild+ Early Childhood Education program in Great Neck, NY, promoting school readiness for children from underserved families.

Schedule

Classes are held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings throughout the school year, with possible additional summer hours.

Responsibilities

• Attend weekly staff meetings
• Prepare and submit lesson plans
• Maintain attendance, assessment data, child progress, and other required records
• Participate on the Child Study Team
• Coordinate events and activities related to the program
• Supervise staff while creating a warm, patient, and flexible environment for young children

Requirements

• At least 18 credits of college-level coursework in Early Childhood Education
• Minimum of three years of experience in an early childhood classroom
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with young children
• Bilingual Spanish preferred
