Mentor, Strategic Student Initiatives - Part Time

About the role

The purpose of this position is to provide high-quality mentoring and student support services to participants in the Strategic Student Initiatives (SSI).

Responsibilities

• Mentor students by providing guidance, acting as a role model, and offering support to help them build academic skills, navigate challenges, and complete CCBC.
• Maintain a caseload of program participants by maintaining confidential student records and electronic files.
• Enhance student engagement by facilitating and coordinating programming that aligns with SSI's goals and foundational pillars.
• Monitor the academic and educational progress of program participants.
• Oversee the collection of quantitative and qualitative educational data related to program goals and objectives.

Requirements

• An associate’s degree with three years or a bachelor’s degree with one year of successful experience working with mentoring programs and/or case management are required.
• Demonstrated success working with student populations.
• Must have experience working with adult learners, providing mentoring, case management, and other support services.

Qualifications

• Positions located on the Essex & Catonsville campuses.
• This is a Part Time (19.5 hours per week) on-site position.
