The Part Time Driver position at Chain O'Lakes Community Re-entry Center involves transporting patients, residents, and incarcerated individuals to various locations. The role requires ensuring vehicles are clean and in safe operating condition, maintaining trip documentation, and adhering to all handling protocols.
Responsibilities
- Safely transports patients, residents, and incarcerated individuals to various locations.
- Maintains vehicles by ensuring they are clean and in safe operating condition, such as checking oil levels, gas, etc.
- Picks up supplies and other equipment as needed.
- Maintain mileage trip tickets for vehicles.
- Follows proper protocol when handling patients, residents, or incarcerated individuals.
- Workday attendance at assigned worksite(s) is an essential function of this position.
Requirements
- A valid Indiana Public Passenger Chauffeur License.
- Specialized knowledge of driving straight truck and tractor/trailer road truck.
- Specialized knowledge of vehicle laws pertaining to truck and transportation.
- Basic knowledge of truck maintenance and repairs.
- Ability to supervise proper loading and unloading of trucks.
- Ability to drive in all types of weather.
- Ability to read maps and understand written directions.
- Ability to obtain appropriate vehicle operator license.

Pay
This position traditionally starts at an hourly rate of $16.24 but may be commensurate with education and work experience.
