Part-time Donor Door Greeter (Evenings/Weekends, preferably)

About the role

As a Donor Door Greeter at our retail store, you are responsible for welcoming and greeting all donors, safely taking in all donations, and assisting customers while staying engaged and communicating effectively. You will practice efficient processing of donation records using a hand-held device and exhibit customer commitment and personal effectiveness.

This part-time position averages 20-25 hours per week, with hours fluctuating based on business needs such as seasonal changes and donation volumes. You will be cross-trained and expected to learn and work all areas of the retail operation.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors quickly and efficiently with excellent customer service.
• Receive donated goods from donors by unloading vehicles and carrying in donated items.
• Provide receipts to donors and maintain accurate donation records using a hand-held device.
• Organize donations into bins as they are brought in to assist with accurate processing.
• Perform general housekeeping duties and keep the work area neat and clean.
• Assist truck drivers when loading and unloading donations.
• Work other areas of the store as requested by the leadership team.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), required.
• Basic math skills.
• Prior experience working in a retail or customer-service-related environment, required.
• 1 year of cash handling experience, preferred.
• Warehouse experience, preferred.

Schedule
