Part Time Director of Financial Aid

About the role

HEAG is seeking Part-Time Financial Aid Director-level consultants with a minimum of 5 years of recent, Director-level management and leadership experience in a dynamic, fast-paced Financial Aid Office. Consultants must be available up to 20 hours per week during business hours to fill interim Director-level positions for a diverse group of schools.

Prior financial aid consulting experience is a plus, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Manage responsibilities in both strategic and functional capacities within Financial Aid Offices.
• Oversee complex compliance issues, including reconciliation, R2T4, SAP review and compliance, as well as institutional, program, and student-level eligibility.
• Communicate complex compliance and other critical issues to non-FA staff, including Executives.
• Manage staff and office needs independently, primarily in a remote capacity.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of recent, Director-level management and leadership experience in a Financial Aid Office.
• Direct knowledge of financial aid compliance, including reconciliation, R2T4, SAP review, and eligibility requirements.
• Competency in administering Financial Aid Programs.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work up to 20 hours per week during business hours.
• Experience with Anthology and Ellucian Colleague is a priority, but all financial aid software experience will be considered.

Schedule

Hours vary by assignment and may include travel. Assignments can be short or long-term.
