About the role
Provide nutrition education and care for hemodialysis patients in a clinical setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide nutrition education and conduct monthly assessments for hemodialysis patients
- Review lab results and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
- Recommend vitamins, binders, and nutritional supplements
- Monitor patient weights, adjust diets and fluid intake as needed
- Participate in quality improvement and patient education projects
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or dietetics required; master’s preferred
- Active licensure appropriate to practice location
- Minimum 1-year clinical dietetics experience; ESRD patient experience preferred
- Excellent communication and bedside manner
- Willingness to work flexible hours and assist as needed
- Must pass Ishihara’s Color Blind Test
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
