About the role
The Part-time Diesel Mechanics Instructor will provide instruction to students in the diesel mechanics program at Hernando County Adult Education.
Responsibilities
- Teach diesel mechanics curriculum to adult learners
- Assess student progress and provide feedback
- Prepare and deliver instructional materials
- Maintain classroom and lab equipment
Requirements
- A high school diploma
- Six years of industry-related experience in diesel mechanics
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of diesel engine systems
Skills
- Effective teaching and learning strategies
- Technical knowledge of diesel engines
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair diesel vehicles
Pay
$25.00 per hour.
Schedule
Availability for any of the following days: Monday-Thursday, 7:30am-12:30pm.
