Part-time Desk Clerk - Clyde Burton House
About the Role
Located on the Lower East Side, Clyde Burton House is a permanent SRO housing facility with a capacity for 33 formerly homeless men and women over the age of 55. The program provides permanent housing and a variety of services aimed at helping clients maintain their independence and build a community of support, including case management, medication monitoring, referrals to medical facilities, health education, psychiatric management, entitlement support, money management, recreational activities, assistance with activities of daily living, and free meals.
Responsibilities
- Monitor building entrance and make rounds to ensure security of premises.
- Answer phones and document observations in a logbook.
- Respond to emergencies and provide emergency first aid/CPR assistance when needed.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Good reading, writing, and verbal skills.
- Basic computer literacy.
- CPR training certification or willingness to complete training.
Schedule
Part-time, 15 hours per week.
