Part-Time Deli & Bakery Manager

About the role

Lead daily retail store operations, ensuring staff training, staffing levels, and compliance with company standards to meet performance goals. This role also requires maintaining safety and food safety standards, strategic planning, and adapting to a retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory ordering, maintain product freshness, and ensure proper storage.
• Oversee receiving processes, quality checks, and handling of spoiled or damaged products.
• Maintain product knowledge, promote sales features, and execute weekly plans.
• Follow safety, food safety, and sanitation guidelines, taking corrective actions when needed.
• Develop and monitor department goals, forecasts, and budgets, including staffing and labor control.
• Coordinate store presentation, cleanliness, and stock levels following company standards.
• Lead, train, and develop team members, managing performance and career growth.
• Participate in meetings, communicate plans, and contribute to overall store success.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required; retail experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience is advantageous.
• Strong communication, organization, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Leadership ability to manage a hands-on environment.
• Knowledge of retail operations, management systems, and proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally, withstanding extended standing and walking.
• Depending on location, Spanish communication skills are highly desirable.
