Part-Time Deli/Bakery Associate

About the role

This position involves independently preparing, frying, packaging, displaying, and stocking deli and bakery products to support store operations and ensure a positive guest experience. The role emphasizes adherence to safety, food safety, and guest service guidelines while contributing to the store's financial interests.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce bakery/deli items according to production plans
• Package, label, and merchandise products following company standards
• Stock backroom with fresh products, rotating and dating items appropriately
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to promote store growth
• Notify management of supplies and product needs
• Follow safety, food safety, and cleanliness protocols
• Communicate effectively with team members about tasks and procedures
• Perform additional tasks as assigned to meet customer and store needs

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Experience in retail or related fields preferred
• Basic math skills and ability to interpret documents
• Attention to detail and reliability
• Availability for weekends and nights

Physical requirements

Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally, stand and walk for extended periods, and work in varied temperatures and environmental conditions.
