Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide courteous and helpful service in person.
- Aid with facility rentals and operations and general inquiries.
- Use ActiveNet software to process payments and manage scheduling.
- Handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions; reconcile receipts.
- Open and close the Community Center following standard procedures.
- Set up and break down rooms for rentals, classes, and events (tables, chairs, A/V, etc.).
- Provide on-site support for events and rentals; ensure adherence to facility policies with a “Can Do Attitude” – always anticipating and commitment to solving problems.
- Perform light custodial tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, trash removal, and window cleaning.
- Report facility maintenance issues or safety concerns in a timely manner.
- Assist with community special events, both onsite and offsite.
Safety & Team Collaboration
- Follow safety protocols and respond appropriately to emergencies.
- Complete incident and facility reports accurately and promptly.
- Attend required trainings and staff meetings.
- Work cooperatively with other city employees to support a safe and welcoming environment.
Skills And Abilities Required
- Strong interpersonal and proactive communication skills.
- Commitment to high-quality public service.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
- Familiarity with office technology and customer service procedures.
- Flexible schedule availability, including late night weekends.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or G.E.D.
- Must be able to accurately type 40 wpm.
- Previous office experience in a customer service environment is preferred.
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the applicant with the necessary knowledge, skills, and ability required to perform the essential duties of the job.
Licensing And Certifications
- Washington State Driver’s License with good driving record.
- First Aid Certification and CPR or ability to obtain within first 6 months of employment.
