Part-Time Customer Care Specialist

About the role

Shamrock Roofing & Construction is a family-owned roofing and construction company headquartered in Kansas City, operating since 1977. With recent growth across the Midwest—including locations in Nebraska, Iowa, Oklahoma, Texas, and Arkansas—we are expanding our team while maintaining our family-owned business feel.

This Part-Time Customer Care Specialist position performs outbound calls to potential and current customers to provide updates and relevant information on behalf of our sales specialists. You will work closely with our sales team to ensure accurate, effective, and quality communication.

Responsibilities

• Make outgoing calls to current and/or potential customers to deliver important updates and communication throughout their roofing claims or repairs.
• Serve as Shamrock’s professional representative in all customer communications via phone, email, and other channels.
• Possess strong knowledge of our roofing products and services to identify customer needs during interactions.
• Document each call according to company and departmental policies and procedures.
• Follow up with current and/or potential customers in a timely manner.
• Apply a positive customer service attitude in all interactions, establishing rapport with customers.
• Be patient and understanding in all customer interactions.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience as a customer care specialist or representative.
• Knowledge of spreadsheets (Shamrock uses Google Business Suite).
• Great written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent goal-setting and motivation.
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional organization, time management, and multitasking abilities.
• Comfortable with computers and have a quiet environment to work from.
• Keen attention to detail.

Bilingual candidates are a plus. As part of the hiring process, we conduct One Way Video Interviews.

Schedule

• Part-Time: approximately 30 hours per week.
• Flexible scheduling: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–7:00 pm, and weekends 9:00 am–12:00 pm.

Pay

$19.23 - $21.63 per hour based on experience.
