About the role
Provides computed tomography (CT) and diagnostic imaging in accordance with standards and organizational policies. Collaborates with radiologists and physicians to ensure quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Reviews patient history and educates patients on procedures.
- Analyzes imaging results and ensures quality.
- Prepares and administers contrast media and medications within scope.
- Performs Point of Care Testing (POCT), laboratory testing, EKGs, vital assessments, and routine patient care tasks.
- Selects optimal imaging parameters to balance image quality and radiation safety.
- Monitors patient condition and responds to changes promptly.
- Resolves imaging quality issues and reports results accurately.
- Ensures appropriate patient preparation and performs diagnostic imaging.
- Supports patient safety and comfort while working collaboratively with medical staff.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
- Registered or registry-eligible in CT with ARRT.
- Valid state licensure if required.
- BLS certification through recognized organizations.
- Critical thinking and decisive judgment.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
