BJC HealthCare System is seeking a Part-Time CT Advanced Modality Radiology Technologist for Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates.

About the Role

Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is the largest hospital in Missouri and is ranked as one of the nation's top hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. The Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Barnes-Jewish Hospital pioneered many radiological milestones, including work on 3-D treatment planning for cancer, and was the first in Missouri to combine PET and CT scanning. The radiology department is regarded as one of the top five in the United States, performing over 453,000 diagnostic imaging examinations annually.

Picture yourself working with the most advanced filmless imaging equipment available, learning the latest multi-slice CT scanning techniques, or conferring with one of St. Louis' most seasoned surgical teams using the latest diagnostic tools.

Schedule

  • Weekday shift: 3 shifts per week (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
  • Part-time: 24 hours per week
  • No call required

Pay

  • 5% differential on top of base rate for CT certification
  • Relocation bonus eligibility

Responsibilities

  • Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control.
  • Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
  • Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and at other sites as required by the work area.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or Trade School equivalency (or higher level of education).
  • Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T.(R) and/or CT.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: CT, RT, X-ray, Radiology, Medical Imaging, ARRT, BD, CI, N, VI, Radiologic Technologist, Radiographer, Medical Imaging Technologist, Advanced Modality Technologist (AMT), Imaging Technologist, CAT Scan Technologist, Computerized Axial Tomography, Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist, Radiology Technologist (RAD/CT), Diagnostic Imaging Technologist, Cat Scan Radiologic Tech, CT/X-Ray Technologist, RTR, CT, MR, M, BD, CI, VI, RCIS, RCES.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Less than 2 years of experience.
  • Certifications in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Intravenous Therapy.
