Part-Time CRR Specialist
About the Role
The City of Pearland, TX is seeking to hire a Part-Time CRR Specialist to lead and improve aspects of the day-to-day operations of our Community Risk Reduction division within the Fire Department.
Job Summary
The purpose of this class within the organization is to be an active member of the Community Risk Reduction (CRR) team. This class aids with car seat inspections, conducting various trainings, presentations and/or courses for schools, daycares, businesses within the City, community and for other City departments. This class works under close to general supervision according to set procedures but determines how or when to complete tasks.
Essential Functions
- Schedule and conduct car seat inspections.
- Schedule CPR events.
- Teach Stop the Bleed courses and provide fire extinguisher, fire prevention, and injury prevention trainings/presentations to the community and other city departments.
- Enter data post-events to track number of events, event attendance, type of event, and staff attendance.
Requirements
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent.
- Two (2) years of CRR, Fire, or EMS experience required.
Special Certifications and Licenses:
- Valid Texas Driver's License.
- TCFP Fire and Life Safety Educator certification, preferred.
- Car Seat Technician, preferred.
- Stop the Bleed Instructor required, or able to obtain within 3 months of employment.
- Fire Extinguisher Trainer required, or able to obtain within 3 months of employment.
Pay
$21.83 - $23.63/hour, based on qualifications.
Schedule
Flexible Monday-Thursday, 15-21 hours per week; some evenings/weekends may be required, depending on events.
