Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, countertops, floors, and utensils
- Assist in washing dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen tools
- Help with food preparation tasks, such as washing, peeling, chopping, preparing vegetables
- Auxiliary in cooking tasks as needed
- Take out trash and recycling and ensure waste is disposed of properly
- Stock ingredients and supplies as needed, alerting Kitchen Manager of inventory
- Auxiliary in setting up and breaking down kitchen workstations
- Auxiliary in ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are followed at all times
- Auxiliary in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is a plus but not required
- Willingness to work evenings & weekends
- Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team
- Strong attention to cleanliness and detail
- Ability to handle basic kitchen equipment and tools
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and take direction from senior kitchen staff
- Reliability, respectfulness, and punctuality
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Food Handlers Course required (can be completed once hired)
