Part-Time Clinical Nursing Faculty

About the role

Responsible for mentoring nursing students in inpatient clinical settings, bridging classroom learning with real-world patient care.

Responsibilities

• Implementing curriculum, supervising students, evaluating performance, and providing feedback.
• Planning clinical experiences, ensuring student readiness, and maintaining agency relationships.
• Developing assignments, correcting coursework, and supporting program development.
• Potentially teaching didactic content and participating in college and community initiatives.
• Serving as a professional role model, ensuring compliance with policies and standards, and reporting to designated leaders.

Requirements

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Unencumbered RN license in Hawaii; Illinois RN license required for teaching all courses.
• Active BLS certification.
• At least two years of recent clinical nursing experience.
