Role: Perform and interpret laboratory tests to support diagnosis and treatment, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Responsibilities: Prepare specimens, conduct routine and specialized testing independently, perform quality control, calibrate and maintain equipment, and document results. Adhere to regulatory standards, safety protocols, and proficiency testing requirements. Participate in performance improvement initiatives and manage supplies effectively. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required; valid license as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist or equivalent, with ASCP certification preferred. Skills: Proficient computer skills, effective communication, analytical and problem-solving abilities, good judgment, and interpersonal skills. Additional Requirements: Ability to work in a patient care environment with exposure to biohazards, ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods, and flexibility to work various shifts. Knowledge of federal/state regulations and compliance standards is essential. Key Duties: Conduct accurate testing, troubleshoot instruments, ensure regulatory compliance, support quality improvement, adapt communication for diverse patients, and perform related tasks as needed.
