Part Time Clinical Laboratory Scientist

About the role

We are seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist to perform laboratory testing, prepare specimens, and ensure accurate data for diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibilities

• Conducting routine and specialized tests independently while maintaining quality control standards.
• Calibrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting laboratory equipment.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and safety protocols.
• Participating in performance improvement and inventory management efforts.
• Adapting communication and procedures to diverse patient populations.
• Documenting results and escalating issues as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; no work experience necessary.
• Current license as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist or equivalent, with ASCP certification preferred.

Skills

• Proficiency in computer skills, data entry, and Windows applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle physical demands, including standing, bending, and lifting, and work in a healthcare environment with potential exposure to biological hazards.
