Hondros College of Nursing is seeking a dynamic part-time on-site Clinical Instructor to teach within the Nursing program at our Columbus campus. This role allows you to continue working in the field while engaging the next generation of nurses in a clinical or lab setting. No prior teaching experience in formal higher education is required; training is provided.

Responsibilities

  • Instruct students off-campus at clinical sites and/or in a lab setting.
  • Promote a positive learning environment and collaborate to ensure full instruction of the clinical curriculum.
  • Plan and facilitate high student engagement during clinical experiences.
  • Supervise and orient students to clinical sites, policies, and procedures.
  • Evaluate student achievement and progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Participate in Faculty Organization and Campus Curriculum Committees.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Nursing (required).
  • Two or more years of full-time work experience as an RN (or part-time equivalent).
  • Active Ohio RN license that has never been encumbered.
  • Current (or ability to obtain) American Heart Association BLS certification.
  • Ability to provide official transcripts for each degree earned from an accredited institution.

General Credentialing Requirements

Selected applicants must complete the following prior to start:

  • Provide copies of official transcripts for all degrees earned.
  • Submit a copy of a current American Heart Association BLS or ACLS CPR card.
  • Complete a physical form (from within the last 12 months).
  • Provide immunization documentation for: Hepatitis B, MMR, TDAP/Tetanus, TB (2-step), Varicella, and FLU (for hires between October 1 – April 1).

Pay

The estimated pay range for this role is $37.40 to $50.48 per hour, determined by factors such as job level, location, experience, and training.
