Role Overview The Clinical Dietitian collaborates with healthcare teams to provide medical nutrition therapy, conducting patient assessments, developing care plans, and delivering nutrition education. They ensure quality nutrition services, monitor patient outcomes, and utilize evidence-based practices to improve health results. The role involves managing enteral nutrition, performing physical exams, and participating in performance improvement initiatives. Mentoring dietetic interns and staying current with research are key components. Responsibilities Assess, diagnose, and develop nutrition interventions for at-risk patients.Provide education to patients, families, and healthcare teams on nutrition strategies.Implement and evaluate nutrition care processes aligned with standards and policies.Participate in research, quality improvement, and team activities.Mentor dietetic interns and pursue ongoing professional development. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in nutrition/dietetics from an accredited program.Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist (RD/RDN) and licensed Dietitian (LD) within specified timeframes.One to two years of clinical experience preferred, with proficiency in electronic medical records and foodservice software.Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
