Part-Time Clerk, Chancellor's Office
PURPOSE AND SCOPE
The Part-time Clerk, Chancellor's Office supports the Chancellor's Office by performing task-oriented duties while providing clerical, analytical, administrative, and operational support.
Essential Job Functions
- Provides administrative support and assistance in preparing documents
- Provides administrative support in managing digital databases, including scanning existing files into database
- Ensures compliance with record retention policies
- P Practices discretion with confidential information
- Provides support with contract compliance
- Responsible for all file management within the Chancellor's Office
- Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Knowledge of general office practices and procedures
- Proficiency with common office software (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel and Access)
- Must be computer literate and experienced with automated library systems
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to communicate the detailed information in a concise and understandable format
- Able to work on multiple projects
- Able to multi-task and prioritize work assignments
- Able to maintain confidentiality
Physical Demands
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
Work Environment
- Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment
- Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
