Part Time Classroom Instructor

About the role

This Position is for a Part Time Classroom Instructor with a youth organization in Hattiesburg. This position is a part time position. The position is three hours a day Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM. In the summer the position changes to six hours Per day from 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM. Person interested must be available for both seasons.

Responsibilities

• Tutor and supervise children ages 5 through 18 in an after school program.
• Supervise field trips.
• Tutor in reading.
• Homework help.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and college transcript;
• 1 year of experience;
• Must have a passion for missional work;
• Love for working with children and families;
• Must be patient;
• Communicate well with others;
• Knowing how to manage a classroom environment;
• Have some skills for conflict management and resolutions.
