Part-Time Choir Director

Position Summary

Guilford College is seeking a Director of the College Choir for the 2026-27 Academic year, with employment beginning in August for the Fall 2026 semester. This appointment is a part-time instructor position.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Direct the Guilford College Choir (75 minute rehearsals, twice weekly)
• Participate in choir recruitment efforts as appropriate for a part-time position.
• Produce a fall concert in collaboration with the other music department ensembles (usually first Sunday evening in December)
• Produce a spring concert (usually first weekend in April).

Preferred Qualifications

• A master’s degree in music preferred with an emphasis in choral conducting or voice, or significant professional experience.
• Teaching experience at the collegiate level.
• Experience with a diversity of choral repertoire.
