Part Time Childcare Educator - Evergreen School District in Vancouver

About the role

Right At School Childcare Program seeks Educators and Substitute Educators to join our team. Positions are available Monday through Friday, specifically for the After School Shift from 2:40pm to 6pm.

Responsibilities

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities
• Document attendance, incidents, and other observations
• Deliver dynamic daily curriculum engaging children in academic and social character-building
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management
• Communicate effectively with varied audiences including children, parents, staff, and school personnel
• Maintain the safety, well-being, and attention of all children
• Support homework completion, lead fun fitness activities, and guide children at play
• Meet regularly with the Program Manager for professional progress and team accountability

Requirements

• Proof of High school diploma/GED required
• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age
• Able to lift 25 lbs
• Excellent communication skills with varied audience including children, parents, staff, and school personnel
• Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living
• Respect for and dedication to working with children with special needs
• A love for children!

Qualifications

• State-specific requirements: FA/CPR, Mandated Reporter, Cleared TB, Proof of MMR, and Food Handlers Card
• Must be 18 years of age

Pay

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00 per hour, based on education and experience.
